I just purchased GalCiv II Endless Universe.
I am able to launch and play the campaign but can't get the "New game" to launch.
I go through all the customizations and stuff but the game itself will not launch after that, help.
Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. The location you'll find the debug.err in varies depending on which game you're playing:Dread Lords: My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2Dark Avatar: My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatarTwilight of the Arnor: My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnorOlder versions may store the debug directly in the location the game is installed at.Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug will be erased and recreated for the new session.
I will do that next time.
I did find out that it is the (New game) in "Dark Avatar" that will not launch
The Campaign and New game in "Twilight of the Arnor" will launch.
How do I open my debug.err file in notepad?
I just get a error saying that it stopped unexpectedly, no actual error code(s)
The debug.err file is just plain text with an unusual extension. You can rename it to debug.txt if that makes it easier.
You don't need to end the game in any particular way to get a debug.err. The game writes one as it goes every time it is run.
