Every time I try and start the game, it'll hang on a black screen with a smaller resolution (I use 1920x1200). I got a new computer recently and haven't had any problems with Sins or other impulse games I have, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I tried running the game a few weeks ago and got an error that said it had a error activating the product and to check the serial number. Well, it's the same number I have on my other computer that ran the game fine. I also stopped getting this particular error popup and only get it if I right-click the game and do re-activate. Here is me doing this today.

Please check the serial number that you have entered and ensure that it is associated with the email you used. Try to activate the product again. If you are using Stardock Central you can right-click on the product and attempt to activate without reinstalling.
I saw in another thread who was having a similar problem to edit a file in the my documents/my games/galciv2 folder and manually change the resolution to what I use, but that didn't work.
