Well, I'm having a lot of fun with the new beta, especially with the Generals and their minions, so here are my thoughts:
1) General minion AI should be more autonomous when idle. I have seen my minotaur captains standing around doing nothing (not stunned) a few feet away from enemy minions or General/Assassins. Also, units idling after 5 seconds should follow the demi-god.
2) A hotkey for "select all minions" for mass movement.
3) A hotkey for special minions.
4) Small boxes (or something) that surround each of the minion buttons that are color coded to show the health of each minion. A grey box would show an empty slot that can be filled, then red, yellow, green for health level.
5) Audio cue when units are selected and given an order, with some flavor for atmosphere according to unit and faction (light vs dark).
6) Verbal audio cue when special powers are used by Demigods, for example when Torch Bearer preps a fireball he'll say something that fits his character. Definitely not, "Fireball FTW!". The Rook, for example, has a great audio cue for his hammer smash since groaning is his language. There should be at least three audio cues for each skill to keep it from being too monotonous. Plus I think it'll add character to the Demigods as the lines they utter and shout reinforce their backstory.
7) I also cast my vote in favor of having unique skins for Light and Dark Demigods. More flavor needed and to differentiate duplicate Demigods on opposing teams.
8) General minions should each have a special ability. For example, Minotaur Captains should be able to capture flag points but at a reduced rate or give damage/hit point boosts to regular minions within their sphere of influece, this should stack with other captains. Siege Archers should be able to deploy/transform into immobile units with increased range and damage. Priests can be toggled to heal HP or restore Mana. The Oak's special minions can be ordered to "possess" enemy minions (higher rank of skill can convert higher rank of minion) and convert them to your side. You lose a spirit for each possession but when the converted unit is killed, it yields no XP for the enemy.
That's all for now!
