I havent created a Mod yet, however i was wondering if anyone in the community was creating their own  mod that would allow you to have more than just the 3 set races.

has anyone out there made it so that the pirates are a playable mod?

has anyone else created another race with unique ships and icons?

im assuming that it wouldnt be too difficult if one were to create a new model in 3d Studios or Maya, create skins in photoshop and use those in a root selection for a clone package of another races code. just make a few changes in selection so icons appear for these new races and clone a original race code and modify it so that it has its own unique characteristics. much like what many of you have already done in changing ship skins and abilities.
