Stargate Space Conflict

Yep an other mod conversion

Hi, i'm Piper from Stargate Space Conflict mod for HW2.
Forum in English (Not a lot of stuff)
Forum in French(A lot of stuff)
So as you know we're working too on a mod for homeworld2 and like Halo Homefront and Warlord mod are transiting to SoaSE we taught that we should transfer too.

Here we are!

But we have a problem, no one of us know how to mod for SoaSE and we don't know how to do because the geek in our team don't speak English and the other (like me ) don't understand how to do.

So we're asking for any voluntary who can help us with this programming or just explain us simply how to do and you'll probably see this mod soon on SoaSE.

If no one want to help well we'll stay only on Homeworld2.

Forge Tools

Contains all the files you need to mod. "Reference Data/GameInfo" contains all the files. When doing a mod, all the files from each of the categories modded needs to be included in your mod folder. Ex. If you change a file in GameInfo, all the files from GameInfo folder needs to be in your download, same goes for if you change anything in the Mesh, Particle, or Window folders.

There's already another stargate mod in process on this forum as well, so you might want to speak to them if your thinking of starting a mod as well.

Correction - for the mesh and particle folders, only the files modified need to be in there. Same goes for textures.

First of all, you showed up on our site and said you had models of stargate ships, and I asked you to post some images on the site so that way we can see your work, and you didnt respond. Yes, while it is true that we want to make our own models, it wouldnt mean the end of the world if we have someone elses help in that region, thats why we just got another person on the team, and he is doing a fantastic job. Now, the purpose of this post isnt to say that our models or better then yours, Im not that kinda guy, and I think you would have a little more restraint on that too, the purpose is to address that we never once said that we werent open to other peoples work. I wish you luck in your endevours.

Those screen shots u gave the link to are for homeworld 2 not SOASE, so how can you say that they are better when those screen shots are from a different game. Tho they are nice models n such, personally i think you should all get along and work together.

Those screen shots are not for SoaSE because our project is to transfer them in SoaSE.

@Eomega: I'm sorry, I was jocking for the model but you have to admit that some are better. But you have some models that interest us, we planed to do them but like you had started, we can make a deal. I offer you to exchange our model to complete our mod on each side and if you want, some of my folks could give you a hand in your work but we're not really advanced in programming SoaSE but we'll try...

And sorry if I didn't respond, after a while I stopped to go watch your site.

maybe we can work something out, we are in need of a texture artist who can get the ball rolling on some of our models and Im sure we can do an exchange

Piper, I like your avatar, I think it's better than mine (because I see it every day)

I agree that if you join forces with the other stargate mod, you can make BOTH SOASE AND HOMEWORLD2 stargate mods better!!!

Great! Lets start... Now! If you need anything in particular e-mail me. I'll come on your post of the forum watch if you need anything and for the models i'll see for someone for texture but we already have someone who accepted to work with you (before I ask him, the bastard ). If you're looking for him his nickname is Elector.

Some other will join eventually depending on your needs.
