I am letting all know who have a intrest.  That I have Planetary Name files.  I have been making them for Ronin to use in the mod later on.  But he has given me the go ahead to let you guys know.  That you can contact me and I will send you the files by email.  So you could have names to use in your games that you are playing right now.  They are in Wordpad format.  So you can just print them out and have it beside you as you name your planets.  What I have ready right now is the Klingon's (100 names), Gorn (30 names), and Romulan's (60 names).  Will have the Fed's, Lyrans, and Kzinti out in the next few days.  You can contact me at:

I'm quite certain you mean that this 'feature' would be available only when custom maps are declaring the new colors for each - only, right?

IIRC, the normal default loading process with random gameplay always uses yellow stars for any occupied systems. Unless a 'CustomPlanets.xml' mod located file overrides any of those color_values for each individual races - in which case, custom maps should be used to properly change the yellows to specific colored ones.

Yea, but they do look sexy in their own way.  Also kind of spooked as well.  I have been kind of doodling with the look and had a design very close to what you have done.  Talk about thinking in the same direction.    How are you going t o treat the Orion's?  I do have some Cartle names listed for them.  Think you will need them?

In other news:

The ISC are complete.  The custom player useable shipstyle is working.  I told ya it wouldn't take long to do the 12 hulls.  I'm uploading tonight.

A few minor races, tech trees, new improvements, and rewriting a bunch of text.

Well I guys I finished the ship packs of all 9 of the major races in my mod.  Originally that was my plan before encouragement by you guys to turn it in to a full fledge mod.  (so in other words any loss of mental stability is now all you guys' fault).

Tholians, Hydrans, and ISC are awaiting approval for the Library now.  I will not be submitting anything else to the Library except for the complete mod.  However there are 2 exceptions.  I want to provide the major race custom race files and there tech trees.  My artist working on the portraits doesn't look like he can get it done so I have to find another one.

My second exception is another ship expansion pack which will include: Excelsior, Oberth, and NX classes.

Ronin:

Klingon         Emperor  (Per SFB.  In the shows it is Chancellor)

Romulan       Praetor  (Per Orginal Series)

Kzinti            Patriarch   (Per Larry Niven---Creator of the Kzinti)

Lyran            Archon  (The true tittle is King-Emperor.  Archon means both in Greek)

Hydran          King  (Per SFB)

Gorn             Autarch  (Per FASA's game)

Tholian         Proconsul  (Per SFB---led by Council members)

ISC              Chancellor  (Sounds better than Prime Minister)

THis is 23rd Century (2201-2299) so I guess Seth doesn't rule yet.

Just need to work on leader names.

Klingon Emperor will be Emperor Khavek since he was in power during the General War when the Klingons invaded the Federation.

Kzinti Patriarch will be Patriarch Hraak-Riit per KzintiPatriarch.

Romulan Praetor is Praetor Maxillius.  He was the one that brought the Romulan Empire in to the General War.

Hydran King is Hydraxan XXIII who ruled for 20 years and during the General War.   

Any suggestions?

As you are getting near the real work (as it pertains to being called a full mod with a number of tricky features!), i'd have a last minute "request" for a well-known Federation ship into the already announced extra bonus sets;

Yep you are right about Hydraxan.  I just rechecked www.starfleetgames.com   The 23rd died almost right before the Klingons invaded the Federation.  So lets see what we got:

Federation:  President Axelrod  (White, Black, Asian, Indian?)

Klingon:  Emperor Khavek (He will look like the ones from the original series which what they looked like in Federation and Empire)

Need a second Lyran name for LDR.

Need a second name for Kzinti for WYN.  Think I'll ask KzintiPatriarch for that.

Also I've been looking at the Deians as a possilbe minor race.  They were only Associate Members of the Federation.  Peaceful from I understand (very tolerant of other species as they see all races being related) and they concentrated on Science and Engineering.  Plus I like when games have a near human species added which the Deians qualify.  They are all beautiful and have a pale blue skin tone.  Thinking of having a female be the leader.
