I just want to begin by saying "WOW, what an awesome game!"

I purchased the Gold Edition of GC2 back around November 2007 and let it just sit on my hard drive because I was too busy playing World of Warcraft. Last week though I made the decision to leave WoW due to numerous reasons. I had tried getting into GC2 before, but always when I was tired or didn't have long enough to sit and learn the game. But last Sunday afternoon I finally sat down (without WoW to distract me) and watched all the tutorial videos. I was then able to start a game and had enough of an idea of what I was doing to figure the rest out (or at least most of it) as I went along. You would not believe how geeked I was when I made my first trade route and trade spacestation last night. I love that you can create your own starships... that is so cool

I just wanted to let Stardock know how much I'm enjoying their great game and I will be downloading the TA expansion this weekend.

Just one suggestion: it would be cool if you could design ships from the main menu. This way new players could design a style for custom races without having to get into a game and research every single ship related tech. Plus it's just crazy fun

Below is my 2nd attempt at designing a starship. My first attempt was simply to produce a survey vessel and I didn't bother playing around with the extras too much.
