Help me please, I'm trying to make my own mods with buffed capital ships and I keep running into the same problems.
I use the straitforward approach of cahnging the .entity files for the ships I want to change and I always run into the same problem.
Whenever I change the damage of a weapon by doing something like
DamagePerBank:FRONT 105.000000 > to > DamagePerBank:FRONT 995.000000
The ship won't fire on anything with Heavy armor class, that means flak frigs, carriers and support cruisers once it reaches level 1, ie, gains one level.
Changing its health, shield, armor, squadcap, antimatter levels and gain rates doesn't give me any problems. Its just changing the damage. Has anyone else encountered the same problem in their modding experience?
I'm using v1.04 and the 1.04 reference data to make this mod. All I edit is the CAPITALSHIP_(NAME).entity in the GameInfo Directory.
