Nice, I appreciate the buffs to the illuminators, seems logical for them to be anti-mediums, and as far as the skeptics are concerned, perhaps you should try playing the new patch before judging the balance. Experiment and try some new strategies instead of doing the same thing from 1.03, because if you do, you'll just setup yourself for failure. Also, don't forget the advent can't simply rely on ship spam to win kinda like TEC and Vasari can with their LRMs early game, but remember that they have better unit cohesion and best cap ship synergy IMO. Plus they also get drone hosts at tech 2, on-top of having the shield regen ability of the mothership, you can easily fend off a rush with proper mircro. I think the increase of resources per planet/asteroid definitely off-set any ship cost increase, something else I think a few of you are aware of or have even realized.
Also, Innociv you seem to bitch and whine about a lot of things that are unbalanced. You should give the devs more credit, and stop pretending like you know everything, because you don't and neither does anyone else, including me. That's the point of these patches, to get us a little closer to the balance we all crave for, however just because you said you can't win with Advent early game for whatever reasons, doesn't mean other people haven't had sucess, even in 1.03. Like I said before, reevaluate your strategies and try them in game, because what's on paper isn't always what you get when you actually do it. Especially with how well you can micro. Of course all of this will have a different outcome depending of the skill level of your opponents, so maybe... you just aren't that great? But I never played with you so I'll reserve my judgement.
About the only person I've played with from here is Commander Adama, and he is a good player with the Advent in 1.03. He'll probably realize the advent are a force to be reckoned with now for sure, and wreck the lives of some unsuspecting TEC and Vasari.
