Strikecraft for Carriers

I was just wondering how I could make it so that carriers start off with more strikecraft.  I like seeing fighters and bombers go off do do thier thing, but would like to have mor eof them without having to have a bunch of carriers.  My basic question is, is there a way for me to edit lets say the TEC carrier capital ship to start off with 5 or 6 strikecraft then gain additional squadrons from there?  If so how would I do this?

Yeah, just increase maxCommandPoints. You can adjust the strike craft gained per level in gameplay.constants, I think.

which folder would I find maxCommandPoints? is that in GameInfo folder or a different one?

Uh..it's not a file. It's in the entity file for the cap you're changing/

For the TEC Carrier: Open in notepad, hit the keys "ctrl" and "H", and type in "CommandPoints"... It will take you to this line: (Manually, it's down a ways past the sound ID's.)

CommandPoints
StartValue 2.000000
ValueIncreasePerLevel 0.500000

Change the StartValue to the number of craft the unit starts with. The Value increase per level is kindof obvious, but is the number of ships you get each level up you go. I played around with 4 and 1 for values a bit ago, and it worked fine.

Keep in mind a few things:
-Up ALL the carriers of all the races, to keep it balanced.
-Be aware the AI likes to spam carrier frigates... There will be ALOT of fighters buzzing around. Make sure your system can handle it... the game can lag a bit.
