Would it be possible to mod a new strategic weapon (ie ultra novalith cannon) that targets a star and have the impact destroy all ships/planet orbitals/player presence in a certain radius from the targeted star?
It would be great if it could remove all life/ships within say two phasejumps of the star or something like that, leaving the planets open for colonization. Would add a little strategic warfare feeling between star systems. Recharge would be based on very high antimatter cost/expensive to build etc. It would be nice to invest in this weapon, build up a fleet and then supernova a neighboring star, followup with an invasion fleet of newly emptied systems.
I am not sure how to get it to target a star and then kill everything within certain distance of said star. Any ideas?
