Planetary Gateway building?

Secret Backdoor option?

If this suggestion has already been posted, forgive the redundancy....

How about a research option that would allow one to create a Planetary Gateway that would provide instant fleet transportation between your Capitol planet and a second planet you own that is located anywhere on the map.?

(you would probably choose your 2nd most valuable planet, either a wealthy one or one that is a strategic/ tactical location.)

This should be invisible to an enemy (unless they research invisible gateway detection , it should be expensive,

and you can only connect 2 ( or maybe 3?) planets. This would certainly be a great defensive help, and might be good to help launch a sneak attack.

Just thinking aloud. Anyone, feel free to chime in!

Seems to make the Vasari's Phase stabilisers kinda useless, and the fact it's instant makes me feel it'd be a bit too exploitable.

The only way to do that would be to add some more things...

What you would have to do is add a structure with a unique value of 2 (which I'm not sure if that's even possible mind you) that reduces the phase jump delay to 0 and the speed to a near instant level for all ships exiting it's gravity well, and then find a way to limit it only to another planet that has the same structure.

as the first poster said the Vasari's Phase Stabilizer is your answer. you could mod it any way you wish.
