Adding Hangar Space To Carriers and Capital Ships

Does anyone know how to do this, meaning what files i need to change, and what to make the changes to.

I've already done a search and yes there are a few mods that do this already, but I can't locate what exactly needs to be changed. (its a little difficult to find amongst 895 possible files to read)

Look in the ship's entity file, towards the bottom there is a section:

CommandPoints
StartValue 2.000000
ValueIncreasePerLevel 0.500000

Just increase the start value. Additionally, increasing the "ValueIncreasePerLevel" value will add more slots per level increase (obviously).


The cap ships are: CAPITALSHIP_*.entity, and the frigate carriers are: FrigatePhaseCarrier.entity (PSICarrier and TechCarrier).

thanks, i would have never gotten that...

i thought command points were for the abilities...

Also I find Winmerge very useful for comparing files for changes so you can look at a mod and compare with a vanilla to see whats changed.
