LAN GAME

How to resume a game you saved

My son and I have had some fun playing in lan mode.  But for the life of me I can not get a MP lan game running again.

 

Anyone got some pointers for this?

I have loaded the saved game on the same machine that was hosting it, had my son try to join from the same machine he used when it was running.  Nada....

How did you get the LAN game started? When I create a game on one computer, I am able to see it on the second computer in my LAN, but get a message that the computer does not contain the necessary files. I have treid it on both computers, but get the same message. I am running the same copy of Sins on both computers and have installed the update on both. Any suggestions?

Excuse me if this is off topic, but it seems that you have gotten further than I have. So here goes.....

I have one copy of Sins and am trying to start a LAN game on two computers in my network. I am able to see and create a game on either computer, but when I try to join, I get the following error message "You don't have the files needed for this game." Any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix?

Are your games both the same version? and do you both have the map file on your computers?

If your using a custom map on lan, i had to transfer the custom map file to the other pc first before they could connect, just a few ideas tht might help.

wow,

How odd! I made a custom map on one PC. Started the game in multiplayer and my son joined from the laptop with the game. Never had the map on both. I'll try the custom map on both trick and see if it works for resuming....
