Anyone with XSI / Softimage experiance?

I've been toying with importing models into the game. So far so good but I have one major problem...all my ships are flying backwards.

I flip the ship 180 in softimage before exporting it again but it has no effect as if the front of the ship is pre-set and flips with the ship when I 180 it. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Common mistake is the pivot point. Check the poivot point on your models. It is used by any game engine to rotate and trnaslate the object.

The only point I can find in softimage, I rotated to no avail.

Select your object in XSI and hit Ctrl-K to access the Local Transform property editor. Check the Pivot tab. Rotation should be all set to 0.

See if that helps fix the problem.

try freezing the rotation before you export the model out of xsi (transform > freeze rotation). freeze the scaling and the translation too, while you're at it.
