I have discovered two graphical bugs thus far. First, when I turn on anti-aliasing, any level of it, any object that gets anti-aliased gets a bunch of white pixels around it instead of smoothing out like it should. Also, when I view an infocard for something with a shortcut hotkey, next to the hotkey flickers a random bunch of garbled text and numbers. Oh, and is there any way to disable vsync?
As far as Diplomacy goes with AI, I think its far too aggressive. I'll get totally impossible missions right in the beginning. I think the type of missions should scale with time or how much of the galaxy you've discovered or something like that. When I get a mission to destroy tactical structures for a race I haven't even met yet, it makes forging alliances a little bit impossible. Also, I think the time limit should scale depending on how much of it you have completed. I cant begin to tell you how many times I've had a destroy ships mission and was only one or two ships away when the time limit ran out. Shouldn't the penalties lessen or the mission grant you more time as you complete the objectives? It would also be nice if giving the AI gifts of resources would increase their allegiance, so a player could make up for the failure of a mission by paying off the AI. I'd also like to be able to assign the AI some missions myself.
