1) I'm a fighter/bomber heavy player but one thing that annoys me with beta4 is how they choose targets. I love how you can leave your ships to their own devices, and they'll attack ships they are designed to destroy and so on, but with fighters, it would be good to have each squadron attack different targets. It's not so bad to see bombers all go after the same ship, but it's annoying to see 10 fighter squadrons chase after the same bomber squadron for 20 seconds, destroy it in one pass, then spend 20 seconds catching up to another squadron. It would be much better if, say, 1 or 2 squads chased after each bomber squadron from the start.
2)My second question has nothing to do with the game itself, but more the dev team. I noticed that a bunch, or at least a couple of you guys worked on cataclysm. Another bunch of people from the cataclysm team went and founded Kerberos, and made sword of the stars. But no one on either game's website seems to talk about the other game despite them being in the same genre (sort of). Was there some sort of massive falling-out between you guys or something?
I had more questions.. but it's 7:30am, and I haven't slept... so I'll remember tomorrow.
