Yeah i know i zoomed in and out alot, but thats one way of playing the game, which i guess most will be doing. But look at the left, there you see the empire tree which is great for all kinds of things that i didnt do for some reason
Im going to make a tutorial video at somepoint where i show how you can play the game more efficient by using just that empire tree.

The empire tree allows you to move fleets around, upgrading planet/asteroids and much more, this is while your view is on a battle.

You prolly played or seen Supreme Commander, and id say much less then that. Though zooming out is great to get an overview of it all.


Yeah, when you send a fleet to an area where theres hostiles they will engange in combat themself. Also theres the option for auto placement of orbital structures, you just have to tell which has to be build.


That really depends on the players, what ive seen most of them are hostile hehe. But yes it is possible to be one who is more into trade. Ive never seen a player asking me to let them be if they give me cash. But if i ever would, i would fine some agreement with them but dont think by that i wont hold an eye out for you, as you cant always trust your allices in a free for all game


you can win if all partys allies with each other. Win with culture. But i see it hard to avoid combat, as some players seek the path of war.


i Actually asked a fellow gamer to, what he tought the rating of the game would be on different sites if the game was released today, and he said 4-5 out of 5, or 9-10 out or 10.
I have to agree myself, been a tester since beta 1, and its been fun and still is
And since we still have alot to see, i can only imagen how fun it will be at released

To fully appreciate the eye candy and detail that went into this game you must view it in replay mode. There you can pause, remove the UI, and icons at will. Relive your best battles without any annoying icons in the way

Very very true. It will be interesting to see if any of the things we are missing will change this at all. But in most games you have time to see pretty battles.

Cultural wins are doable. One desert planet as TEC with max culture techs and 9 culture centers. The proceed to raid the enemy culture stronghold that pops up to counter it. Once it drops they go poof real fast. You can't just win by pure culture unless someone is really asleep at the wheel, but it's easy with minimal warefare as opposed to wiping out and bombing down every gravity well on the map. Just advance through their territory, building more and more culture centers on each planet you flip, they wont have room for anything else to combat it.

well, i managed to pretty much pwn emp with it (mostly because he had pirates attacking his ohter world too, and then the pirates went and defended the desert i stole from him ^.^

Flipping a maxed out terran planet instead of bombing it down and recolonizing isn't an obvious plus? That map with the terran/ice/asteroid pattern in a circle around the star with two deserts and a volcanic off it is a perfect map for it. Stack one of the deserts with culture production and attack one of the enemy homeworlds when your culture reaches them. They wont have the slots to stop it from moving even if they start converting research stations into culture production. Very shortly after wiping out their defenses, you'll flip it, and probably continue flipping them till the side is finished off.

ron has a point that ive been wanting to make, I think development should drop SOMEWHAT and that population should drop SOMEWHAT from people leaving and wahtnot, but a complete elimination of everything is kinda... dumb?

I liked the battle over my asteriod though and overall the game was fairly fun, especially the part when my culture started pushing yours back.

Sad... I gotta actually pay attention one of these games.
