I had to sing this reggae style at freshman orientation in front of about 200 people... solo. A "friend" from summer camp volunteered me.

Oh, so your evilness truly is directed at me? I'm not sure how that makes me feel... And it worked, it is now stuck in my head. I had to counter with some Gaelic Storm, which is unlikely to get stuck in anyone else's head since I doubt there are any other fans here...

Instead, I counter with...

My wife and I regularly blame these tunes on our internal DJ's, who are suprisingly sick buggers. But we believe we've found a cure. There are two songs which will cancel all others out, sort of like Liquid Paper for the brain. These are "My Favourite Things' from The Sound Of Music or "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow. Then, you're left with either of these tunes stuck in your head. The good thing we've found is these two songs are actually easy to cancel out and replace with something more appropriate.

I find that if I sing the whole song, that usually gets it out of my head. Unfortunately, once I get "Whoomp, There it is" in my head... it takes forever to get it out. Mostly because it's that tiny section that repeats so well, and I don't know the rest of the song. Then, I have to go to my default songs to attempt to drown it out.

Speaking of which...
