Nothing is happening right now, because the forge tools (Sins modding tools) haven't been released yet. That wont happen until Sins final is released. I need the forge tools so i can import the models. I especially need them to be able to convert models made in 3dsmax (version 5 preferably). So right now i am just in the process of building, and selecting models for use in the mod.
No more news will come of this until i have some ships, and weapon fx actually imported in game, and working. So when i have any news ill post it, but it wont be until after the final game (and mod tools) are released. Until then enjoy the Sins beta

As far as this particular mod being set in all eras of trek. It aint gonna happen. This is a pioneer mod to test, and see what can be done with the sins engine. I also have a particular fondness for the original series. Being that i am 43, and grew up watching the original Star Trek. In the 70's that was all there was until star wars came along. Then the Sci Fi boom of the late 70's, and 80's hit.
I am more than likely going to be working on this mod alone. However my gaming clan will be watching this mod (and sins), and if they like what they see they may do a mod set in the TNG era. My gaming clan is Digital Underground. The same gaming clan that brought ST: Age of War to Nexus, and MPMP to Bridge Commander.
Until i have something new to post i will leave you with a several screens of some finished models, and WIP's of models i made specifically for this mod.
1st the DY-100 freighter destined to replace the refinery ship in sins

Next is that "anime submarine looking thingy" which is actually a matt jefferies design. It will be called the DY-750 transport. She will replace the trade ships for this mod.

Will need a trade station for the DY-750's to spawn out of, and dock with so heres a WIP of the "K" series station (K-7 space station)

You already saw a Klingon ship earlier this thread. Now heres a WIP of the Romulan BoP. I do hope you can cloak ships in this game. Otherwise i may have to re-think using Romulans

Last WIP is a ship design based on what Ralph McQuarrie envisioned what the refitted Enterprise would look like (for a scrapped Star Trek movie called "Planet of Titans). This ship has a HUGE hanger deck, and would make an excellent carrier, and that exactly what she will be in Sins.
