Cost's of Research?

Anyway to view it?

Hi all,
First, let me say just how much I love this game, it's sucking me in and eventually I won't have any friends. Anyways, I was wondering if there was any way to view the actual cost of a research, ie, I have a planet that produces 20 research, how can I possibly know how much more I need?
I did a search here and found a sort formula, but I was wondering if there was a button or something that I press to view...say TechX cost 139081 research. Is there a way or mod?

You can probably find it in the XML files, though I don't know where and that wouldn't be very convenient.

Thanks for the reply, but I have downloaded the Glactopedia and have all the info. What I was wondering was, if there's a quick method of figuring it out on the fly, I don't even care if it's within the game itself or not.

The files help, but if I suddenly change my research I won't be able to figure it out.
ex) I know "Planetary Invasion" = 900, thus if I have 90 research, it will take me 10 turns. But if all of a sudden I change my research to 75, then 80, then 10...I have no quick method of figuring it out.

There is a little window in the lower left that shows the time left to research the current tech. That will update as you add research facilities or change slider settings.

The Galactopedia shows the basic research cost of a tech. Pretty sure it is not the total research cost of a tech -- the more techs you have the more costs go up, I'm pretty sure. I played around doing the weapon techs and found out the second weapon tech tree i did cost around 16-20% nore than when i did it first; third weapon tech tree was around 30% more.

This is sort of hinted at on page 32 on the game manual. Read the first paragragh under "Research" on that page.
