Hey, I'd really love to give this mod a try. Am a big GC and Trek Fan, but I have been waiting over a month now and haven't been activated yet. Is the site supporting this mod active? I can't seen any forums with posts in 2008. I registered as "Bloody Hell" and I used wilsonnick1234@hotmail.com as my address. From what I've seen here though, it looks like you guys have done a great job.

Yes The mod works best with Dark Avatar, so the Gold edition should have no problem playing it.

So I downloaded the file from the forums with an activated account. Then I moved all the files from the download into the mods folder under GALCIV2 but I'm still not seeing it under my mods menu when I try to load it in game. Am I missing something?

And I am playing with DL. I haven't yet changed a few of he files that someone earlier told me I needed to, but I thought I might still be able to load the mod. Should I change those files first or am I doing something wrong?

make sure you have a file called ModDescription.xml in the mod file!!

D:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Mods\Star Trek Beta V3

This is a old version in my DL game my newer version in DA

also in option make sure your use mods is check too

not saying you don`t know this already just checking Academaniac

Yeah, I have both the ModDescription in the mod folder and the use mods box checked but it still isn't showing up :`(

Never mind my earlier posts, I got it to work. My mistake was very stupid lol.

I absolutely am loving this mod so far. Any trace of the social life I once had will be gone for the next few months.

I do need some help though, because even while playing as races other than the Federation, i'm starting with a Pheonix and Fed colony ship. I also just researched hardened hulls as the Klingons and recieved the Pheonix hull. Is there a way to fix this so each race starts off with their own style of ships and recieves more ships in their style as they research the hull techonolgies? Is it also possible to disable the use of stock ships by the AI because as I came across Earth it was being defended by Denfenders instead of any Star Trek ships?

Also, is it normal to have to wait for quite a while into the game before I am able to research the first hull design? It took me about forty minutes and I'm not sure if it's to give the game a much slower pace or if it's something I need to fix too.

Edit: At the race selection screen, in addition to the seven Star Trek races I'm also getting three stock GC2 races - Dratha, Thalan, and Iconian.

I'm using DL.

Hello all,

I seem to be having a problem with my weapons and shields/armor numbers being displayed.

Are there any edits or changes to any files that I need to do to have this information show up?

Academaniac, Playing with DL for some reason the ship styles aren't showing up. When you are setting up a new game, in the race screen click the apperence TAB, then click which ship style you want.

Human = Federation
Drengin = Borg
Torian = Romulan
Yor = Klingon

Bad news is you can only play as those four.


jrm3, I'm not sure exactly what your problem is?
