A few things:
1) I see that in the beta the tax gained from a planet goes up much less for a higher population, does this mean that farms will become much less valued and the farming bonus tiles will become much less wanted.
2) What was the ai optimised for, it manages to do very well on very diverse settings however I can beat it fairly handily on medium map size with 4 opponents (on intelligent) do they need more space to flourish?
3) When you choose a race from the game setup screen you are given the opportunity to customise it however if you decide to alter the abilities a race has then some of the abilities the race is given disappear. For some races it can be a big disadvantage to spend the extra points and for others it can be a big advantage. Personally I don't like this and I'd much prefer to be able to spend the abilities points or not to have them at all.
I'm interested to hear what you think of this, do you use whatever you're given or do you spend the extra ability points.
Are there any plans to change the number of points they each have and make it so that you can actually spend unused points or will Stardock stick with the current system?
4) When the UP meets and I haven't met all my opponents we vote without them, does that mean they aren't affected by the votes or does the other side of the galaxy have their own UP or what?
5) Months/weeks/turns? What exactly is the unit of time for a turn, I know it's meant to be a week but so many things give you so much per month and they are added to your income as if it were a weekly income. Personally I think that one turn being a month would be better as it gives the opportunity for things to happen more frequently, mainly I'd love to see more frequent UP votes but also seeing your party vote more often and maybe even making demands would be good.
