I just got the game recently and was playing a gigantic map on beginner level to get a feel for how the game worked.
Toward the end of the game I had oblitterated all but 2 other races. Neither one was anywhere near my strength military wise or technology wise. I wasn't at war with the last two races because I wanted to get all the technologies and see what the best weapons looked like in the fleet battles.
So as I'm quickly hitting the turn button and minding my own business a random event pops up and says I assasinated one of the races leaders and I'm now at war. I'm thinking: "How did I do that?" and then looked at the map and the race that I "offended" instantly had 1000's of little ships peppered thoughout the entire huge galaxy. They weren't there before...
Second thought was... hmm interesting...ah screw it I'll just wipe out these guys and start a new game.
As my fleet was demolishing their fleet something odd kept happening, The ships I would just kill kept respawning. I would kill 30 precursor corvettes (One at a time I might add *yawn*) and the planet would be clean for invasion, but as my troop ship got near the enemy planet 30 more precursor ships would instantly *pop* into the planets orbit and I would have to clean it again... After cleaning the planet a second time I took it with my troopship (Yay the planet is mine)... but then the precursor ships respawned AGAIN in the planets orbit which caused an error.
I had 30 enemy precursor ships in my planets orbit... I couldn't kill the ships because any ships I sent into the planets orbit would dock with the planet and not engage the enemy ships, and I couldn't get my ships to undock with the planet because if I clicked on the planet it would select the enemy ships and not the planet. So it became a black hole for my fleet....
So my question is.... Is that supposed to happen??
