It's funny how I came across this game. I used to love playing civilization 2. I would stay up till 3 in the morning playing that damn good game...god it was addictive. So the other day I decided to get Civilization 4 when while in the store I noticed the "Galactic Civilizations 2 COMING SOON!" box. I resisted temptation and decided to hold onto my money and check this game out online. I read some reviews and everything seemed pretty cool, but it wasn't till I played the Galactic Civilizations 1 demo that got me hooked.

The whole concept of another unqiue civilization game is awsome. I'd much rather be controlling some high tech battle cruisers compared to a few lousy foot soldiers. I decided on getting Galciv2 over Civ4. I live in Australia and the game was "supposed" to come out today. I pre-ordered it yesterday so that I could come into the store and get my copy.

Everything started going wrong when I woke up this morning to go and pick it up. First my car broke down so I had to get my mother to drive me in her car (I can't drive manual). So anyway we get there and the god damn store is closed because its sunday. We had to shop around for an hour befor it opened up. Anyway, we finnaly get into the store when we are told "Sorry, we don't get stock in on weekends, try coming back tommorow." I'd gladly come back tommorow, the problem is I have work. Thats when I realised my pre order deposit only lasts for 2 days! I won't have a chance at all to go and pick it up during this whole week. It looks like i'm going to have to wait till next saturday to get this game. I can't believe it.

Have you ever really wanted something so badly that you will do anything to get it. Thats how i'm feeling right now. I've never pre ordered a game in my life, and I very rarely get a new game. The one time I decide to get one God decides to play with my mind.
