Years ago, when I was strolling around a nearby Electronics Boutique, I discovered a little game called "Galactic Civilizations". It was a steal, and sounded interesting, so I bought it. I became lethargic, immobile, and fat (ter). I almost recovered... then along comes an "add-on" pack ... instant relapse. I didn't shower, I consumed massive amounts of junk food, and got muscles with the consistency of jello.... once again, much later, I bounced back to good health.
And then, Stardock, you just had to do it again! You went and created the most addictive, fun, involving game I've played in years... GalCiv 2! No fair!... I'm an old fart gamer at 42, so my body can't take but so much of this abuse! How dare you sell a game this inexpensive (just $39.00 at the local Wally World) that will once again turn me into a mere shadow of my former self! Sleep deprivation is beginning to take its toll already... I'm desiging new ships in the very few hours of sleep I get a night. When will it end!
On a serious note, my hats off to you folks... you can tell this masterpiece is a true work of love of the genre. My only wish is this: Wait until I retire before you release a GalCiv3 or 4....
