Leaders

I started up moo2 yesterday just to compare galciv2 to that classic and it struck me that leaders would be a great addition to galciv2.

3 kinds of leaders would be obvious, planetary leaders, starbase leaders and fleet leaders.

Have a maximum of 4 of each kind for every race it would be the bomb!

If possible at all ofcourse, I am not sure if it would infringe on moo2 copyrights

It has been mentioned in the other threads. Stardock might or might not do it. Don't think it would infringe on moo2 copyrights.

Starbase leader would be pretty much the same as ship leader, no?
Then again, you didn't say ship leader but fleet leader.. Hmmm

I think moo2 and galciv2 have a lot in common, which I don't think is a bad thing. I think adding leaders would be a good idea, it would add a bit more variation to the game

I love the idea of leaders. I have been thinking of way to try to add them via a mod... as a new random event, where, instead of getting a planet quality bonus or extra ship points, you get a new leader. Would love to see Stardock implement this. I think it would add a LOT of flavor to the game.

Well, Infogrames and Quicksilver dropped the ball on that one, so SOMEONE had to show 'em how to do it right.
